We’ve all been there. You reach for that mug of coffee, bleary-eyed in the morning, and bam!

It slips from your grasp, shattering on the floor.

Or maybe you spend hours crafting the perfect email, only to hit send, and realize you accidentally addressed it to your boss instead of your colleague (Been there, done that!).

I understand that mistakes can feel like unwelcome guests that crash into our carefully planned days and leave a trail of embarrassment or frustration in their wake.

But here’s the secret most successful people won’t tell you: mistakes are a fundamental part of the human experience.

They’re not roadblocks on the path to success, but rather stepping stones that help us learn, grow, and become stronger versions of ourselves.

For instance, think about a child learning to walk.

They stumble, they fall, they cry.

But with each awkward step, they’re building the strength and coordination they need to become a confident walker, and eventually a runner.

We, as adults, tend to forget this simple truth. We judge ourselves harshly for missteps and forget that these are the very experiences that shape our approach to life.
