The More You Hold On, The Less You Will Have.
Have you ever noticed how the more you stuff your backpack, the heavier it gets and the harder it is to climb that hill?
That’s kind of how life works too.
We chase after all this stuff — the bigger house, the shinier car, the overflowing closet — thinking it’ll make us happy.
But sometimes, the more we take, the emptier we feel inside.
Think about it.
Remember that amazing feeling you had when you finally bought that dream gadget?
Now, how often do you use it?
The truth is, the thrill of getting something new wears off fast, leaving us wanting the next big thing.
On the other hand, ever helped a friend move or volunteered at a local animal shelter?
Didn’t that warm fuzzy feeling inside last way longer than the high from a new phone?
That’s because giving isn’t about taking away, it’s about adding to the world and to ourselves.
We get caught up in this constant competition, comparing ourselves to everyone else’s perfectly curated social media feeds.
All that comparing does is make us feel like we’re falling short.
