The Chinese Zodiac. What is yours?
Astrology has been a hot topic for many years and has snuck into many of our conversations.
Endless discussions about the traits, fortunes, and cosmic alignments that control our lives have been brought up in many chats.
From high-spirited Aries to mysterious Scorpio, we’ve all grown accustomed to discussing our zodiac signs.
We have also been drawing personality insights, and even relationship predictions from the stars, which I believe is so interesting.
Personally, I believe that the topic of zodiac signs has become so prevalent because it gives people a sense of identity.
Furthermore, individuals get a chance to judge others based on the category they have been placed in.
If astrology is real or not is a whole other topic.
As we dive deeper into the realms of cosmic influences, let’s take a detour from the Western zodiac and venture into the world of the Chinese zodiac, also known as “Sheng xiao.”
We giggle about how accurate or entertaining our zodiac sign’s descriptions can be, which I love.
Therefore, I want to share the twelve fascinating creatures that make up the Chinese zodiac.
Each symbol represents a year in a twelve-year cycle. This offers an intriguing perspective on personality traits and life trajectories.
For those of us who have grown up identifying with the Western zodiac, it’s quite a surprise to discover our counterparts in the Chinese zodiac.
For instance, I grew up in a Chinese household, where I was constantly reminded of my year, the Rooster.
I found myself characterized as picky and aggressive, which was not a lie. Actually, I found it pretty funny.
In addition, My grandparents always had paintings around their house.
I grew up there and was always fascinated by the zodiac painting that my granny always had well-kept in their room.
I will show you a similar picture here:
