In our daily lives, we often receive feedback from others, both positive and negative.

While some of it can be beneficial, other feedback may harm our self-esteem and impede our personal growth.

Therefore, it’s important to detach ourselves from the opinions of others and develop our self-worth that is not dependent on external validation.

This way, we can stay true to ourselves, and our decisions can be based on our values and beliefs rather than on others’ opinions.

1. Others’ Opinions Are Just Their Perspective

Every person has a distinctive perspective on life, influenced by their experiences, beliefs, and prejudices.

It’s good to keep in mind that other people’s opinions of you are not absolute truths about your worth or significance.

Their perceptions may be based on a lack of information, misunderstandings, or even personal biases.

2. Focusing on Others’ Opinions Diverts Your Attention from Yourself

When we focus too much on what others think of us, it can have a negative impact on our sense of self-worth and confidence.

This preoccupation with external validation can make us feel insecure and doubtful about our abilities and achievements.
